From Screen Time to Swing Time

Questions parents ask, answered honestly.

Everything you want to know about the parent-first family program — how it works, what it asks of you, and who it's really for.

From Screen Time to Swing Time is a parent-led family coaching program created by Team Blue Tennis. The goal is to help families reduce screen time and replace it with movement, tennis-based activities, confidence-building, and quality family connection at home. This is not just an online tennis lesson program. It is a family accountability system that uses tennis as the tool.

Yes, but it is more than online tennis. The online format gives families structure, coaching, weekly activities, and accountability from home. The focus is not only on tennis skills. The focus is helping the parent create a better home routine around movement, discipline, confidence, and connection.

This program is for families who are serious about reducing screen time and helping their child become more active, confident, and consistent. It is especially helpful for parents who feel like their child spends too much time on screens and needs a healthy activity that can be done at home.

No. This program is beginner-friendly. Parents and children do not need tennis experience to begin. The activities are simple, short, and designed to build confidence step by step.

That is expected for some families. The program begins with the parent first. The parent learns the simple movement and tennis-based activities before inviting the child to participate. This lowers pressure and helps the child see the parent modeling the behavior first.

Because many children will not change their habits just because an adult tells them to. When the parent starts first, the home environment changes. The child sees movement, consistency, and structure being modeled. This makes it easier to invite the child into the activity without arguing or forcing it.

The goal is to keep it simple and realistic. Most activities are designed to take about 5 to 10 minutes a day, several days per week. The program is built for busy families, not perfect families.

No. A court is helpful but not required. Many activities can be done at home, in a driveway, in a hallway, in a yard, or at a local park. The early focus is movement, coordination, footwork, confidence, and simple swing patterns.

No. Families do not have to post their child publicly. Proof of activity can be uploaded privately to Team Blue. This could be a short video, a picture of a completed activity, a parent reflection, a tracker, or a clip that does not show the child's face.

Uploads show commitment. Team Blue believes that families who pay attention get better results. The uploads help families stay consistent and allow the coach to see who is actually doing the work.

It means that when families make an investment, they are more likely to take the program seriously. However, Team Blue also understands that not every committed family can afford the full premium price. That is why limited Commitment Scholarship spots may be available.

Team Blue may offer a limited number of Commitment Scholarship spots for current families. These spots are not just discounts. They are reduced-tuition opportunities for families who show strong commitment through weekly activity uploads, communication, and follow-through.

A Commitment Scholarship is a reduced-price spot for families who may need financial support but are willing to meet the same commitment standard. The scholarship reduces the cost, not the expectation.

Yes. If a family misses multiple weeks of uploads or does not communicate, the scholarship spot may be paused or offered to another family. The purpose is not to punish families. The purpose is to protect the opportunity for families who are ready to participate.

Regular Team Blue tennis focuses on coaching the child on the court. From Screen Time to Swing Time focuses on coaching the family at home. The regular program builds tennis skills. The premium family program builds home habits, accountability, parent leadership, movement, and consistency.

YouTube gives information. Team Blue gives structure, accountability, coaching, community, and follow-through. Most families do not need more random videos. They need a simple system they can actually follow.

No. This program is for families who want movement, confidence, and better habits. Some children may eventually become serious tennis players, but the first goal is to help families replace screen time with healthy activity.

Families should expect small wins first: more movement, better consistency, less arguing about activity, more parent-child connection, and improved confidence. This is not a magic fix. Results depend on the family's commitment and follow-through.

The first version is offered as a 12-week Founding Family Challenge. After that, Team Blue may offer monthly or multi-month options depending on family feedback and results.

The best fit is a parent who says: "I know my child needs less screen time, but I need help creating structure at home." This program is for committed families, not perfect families.
